Brooks And Simba Get A Party

One of the hardest things for Brooks (and Simba) to deal with since going on bed rest is not being able to take Simba to the dog park at the Mint Museum each afternoon. This has been a daily ritual since we moved to Charlotte almost a year ago. Today she had the chance to go back there for the first time in six weeks and was treated to a cupcake party be her fellow dog-parkers. Of course, Simba was convinced the party was for him, but we didn't spoil his excitement by telling him otherwise.

Earlier today Brooks had another doctor's appointment and everything is status quo. No signs of dilation, plenty of amniotic fluid and the babies are very active. They wouldn't be surprised if she lasted another week and half, so we're going to go ahead and schedule a C-section for the week of July 14. We'll keep everyone posted. A special thanks to the Kelly's and Margaret for organizing the outing at the dog park.
